Katie is a Registered Dental Hygienist who received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the Medical College of Virginia. She is also licensed in administering nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Katie knew that she wanted to work in healthcare and chose dental because of the more personal patient relationships she gets to form with patients over time. Katie especially enjoys getting to know multiple generations of families. Her main objective is to determine each patient’s needs, listen to their concerns, and provide them with an all-around thorough cleaning and visit. Katie genuinely wants to get to know each and every one of them as a person.

Originally from Spotsylvania, VA, she enjoys the Richmond area because it has a southern hospitality feel while being in close relation to the mountains, the beach, several amusement parks, and all the fun things the state capital has to offer. Outside of the office, Katie is a mom to two kids, Finn and Clara, and a chocolate lab named Lilo. As Virginia Tech alumni, she and her husband, Doug, love to follow Hokie sports teams and attend football games when they can. They also love to visit wineries and breweries with friends. Katie is living into her favorite quote, “Love well, love much, laugh often.”
